ORLANDO, Fla. – Princeton claimed its first Ivy League Women’s Golf Championship since 2005 after turning in a final-round 293 Sunday at Orange Tree Golf Club.

The Tigers finished 31 strokes in front of second-place Harvard to near the record for the largest margin of victory in the 21 all-time Ivy League Championship tournaments.

The Crimson took second with a score of 922 (302-311-309), followed by Columbia (319-306-301 – 926) and Penn in fourth (307-316-14 – 937), Brown (313-323-313 – 949) and Dartmouth (323-323-303 – 949) tied for fifth and Yale (334-315-303 – 952) took seventh.

Two days after posting a 296, its best round at the Ivy League Championship since a final-round 288 in 2011, Princeton turned in a final-round 293 Sunday to finish with a three-round score of 891, the second-lowest in the 15 Ivy League Championship tournaments that have gone three rounds.

Sophomore Amber Wang led four Tigers in the top seven to win medalist honors at two-over, carding a one-under 71 Sunday to finish three strokes in front of rookie teammate Alison Chang. Wang is the first Princeton golfer to win the individual title since Kelly Shon ’14 in 2013. 

Dartmouth’s Catharine Roddy (73-76-74 –223) and Princeton’s Hana Ku (76-73-74 – 223) finished tied for third. Columbia’s Jacqueline Chulya (80-73-73 – 226) finished fifth. 

Princeton earns the League’s automatic berth to the NCAA Championship and will compete in the NCAA Regionals from May 8-10.

The third and final day of the Ivy Championship kicks off at 7:44 a.m., with Yale and Dartmouth teeing off first. The top three teams take to the course beginning at 9:04 a.m.
