Complete Football Weekly Release in pdf format

PRINCETON, N.J. -- With four non-conference games remaining, Ivy League football needs just two wins to post its best non-League record since 1994.

LEAGUE NOTES
  • Dartmouth and Columbia are the lone remaining undefeated Ivy League teams, after the Big Green handed Yale its first loss and Columbia defeated Marist.
  • For the second-straight week, Dartmouth scored the gamewinning touchdown on a fourth-down play with under a minute remaining in regulation, this time a 15-yard touchdown pass from Jack Heneghan to Drew Hunnicutt with 34 seconds left.
  • The League went 2-2 in non-conference play last week and is now 15-5 overall. A 2-2 mark or better over its final four out-of-conference games would give #IvyFootball its best non-League mark since 1994, when it went 19-3-1.
  • The Ivy League’s .750 non-conference winning percentage leads the FCS and ranks fourth overall in Division I, trailing the SEC (.816), Pac 12 (.794) and Big Ten (.762).
  • Four teams appear in the national rankings. Dartmouth and Yale are receiving votes in both polls, while Columbia and Princeton are receiving votes in the STATS FCS poll. The Lions are in the polls for the first time this season.
  • Ivies in the NFL increased by two last week, as the Buffalo Bills signed Ryan O’Malley (Penn) and the Detroit Lions signed Caraun Reid (Princeton) to their respective practice squads. There are now 19 #IvyFootball alums in the NFL, including 11 on active rosters.
  • The #IvyFootball slate continues this week with a pair of matchups. Brown hosts Princeton on the Ivy League Network (ILN), while former Penn head coach Al Bagnoli leads Columbia against the Quakers on Eleven Sports and ILN.
  • In total, four games will be broadcast live this week on ILN, now available on Apple TV, Roku and the ILN app on Apple and Android devices.
OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Heneghan threw for three touchdowns, all in the second half, including the gamewinner with 34 seconds remaining in the game. The comeback is the largest in Dartmouth football history.

Heneghan comes from an #IvyFootball pedigree background, as his father Lal was an All-Ivy tight end at Penn in 1984 and won three Ivy League titles with the Quakers during his career. Heneghan is also a Campbell Trophy semifinalist as an economics major with a 3.79 GPA. He is the first Big Green to be named Offensive Player of the Week since Dalyn Williams on Oct. 12, 2015.

It marks Cornell’s first win over Harvard since 2005. After the Big Red took its first lead of the game in the fourth quarter, Nolan made sure it stuck with a strip sack on the ensuing drive to help force a Crimson punt, and then combined with Michael Gillooley for another sack with under 30 seconds remaining to close out the win.
